Polish Żurek

Finally finally got to taste Polish traditional soup. Apparently it takes only around 35 minutes to get it done, but after you had it, it feels like you ate a part of the horse. Will give you few hints what's inside this amazing soup - bacon, onions, potatoes,smoked sausage, mushrooms, boiled eggs and sour cream. Weird mixture? Well, I loved it.

Airport food

Soooo was going away for few days and decided to have some breakfast at one of the Stansted airport restaurants called Frankie and Bennys American Italian . The menu is extensive and you just get lost in it , but i found my bearings and finally decided to order Tuna melt with chips . As we all would expect the tuna melt to come in a panini / ciabatta toasted and topped with lovely melted cheese , but instead it came on top of three slices of warm bread which wasn't toasted at all , it was cold , the cheese haven't melted and the whole thing just tasted of paper! And you do realize when my day starts with a bad food its just ruined right ?! . Breakfast is meant to be the most important meal of the day .

Brighton tastes good nr.2

        If you want something different then the old and boring english pub lunch i would recommend for you to walk down to JB's Diner which is a classic American diner like you see in the american movies . When you walk in you feel like you have walked onto a movie set . Elvis Presley is blasting through the speakers,checked floor,red leather furniture,waitresses rushing around in their cute uniforms.... aaaannnddd the most import is the FOOOOOOOOD!!!!! The menu is sooooo amazing that you end up wishing you would have a black hole in your stomach so would never have to stop eating and never end the flavor fireworks in your mouth and could physically eat everything on the menu starting from BBQ wings , Texas BBQ burger , pancakes with maple syrup and on top of all that the biggest milkshake you have ever seen with a top up on the side like you could ever even dream of finishing the actual milkshake! And cant forget to mention the prices of the diner - very consumer friendly!

The Cricketers - Brighton ...

   If you are ever down in Brighton enjoying the beach and the sun and feel like you need a bite I would very much recommend to pop down to a pub called The Cricketers , the pub is only few steps away from the famous Lanes . The Cricketers doesn't have a very extensive menu , but you will be able to find something for your taste . The food tasted lovely especially a fish pie and the beef burger , both meals were freshly made , like the salsa sauce that came with the burger was freshly made in their own kitchen and the fish for the fish pie was freshly caught in english waters. Cant forget to mention the atmosphere in the pub which was great ! All in all the food was great , service was good , I would recommend to anyone to stop by the pub when in Brighton and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Magical Dumplings...

    If your Eastern European you will know exactly what im talking about . When you eating them it is the moment of truth when you realize you are taking the shape of a unicorn ! Most often these dumplings are filled with minced pork meat and are boiled in hot water and topped of with sour cream and your choice of spices . You will be able to find these dumplings all over London all you need to do is find your nearest Eastern European or Polish food store and you will definitely find the magical dumplings in one of their freezers .
